  • Isabelle Maschal O’Donnell: Green Winding Road

    November 21, 2025 - March 20, 2026

The colors and textures of the work in Isabelle Maschal O’Donnell: Green Winding Road are drawn from nature and Isabelle’s surroundings, exploring ideas of seasonal shifts and cycles of growth and loss. The color palette and compositions reference specific places and memories, such as summer dips in the ocean, feeling the sun on your body laying out at the beach, driving through rural roads in Maine and upstate New York, sunrises and sunsets, and dropped flower petals crushed into the pavement of city sidewalks. These snapshots embody a deep sense of place that holds beauty and wonder, but also the memory of loved ones both present and lost.

  • Dudley Zopp: The Lens of Attention

    July 17 - October 16, 2025

Spanning three decades, Dudley Zopp: The Lens of Attention features a range of visually rich works including painting, watercolor, drawing, installation, and books. Taking its title from poet Mary Oliver’s phrase “the rich lens of attention,” the exhibition at Artists & Writers brings into focus the attention Zopp has paid to nature’s creations, beginning in childhood, and especially since moving to Lincolnville in 2007, having lived in Maine since 1996.
