New Life for Old Knits
Workshop with Ingrid Ellison.
Give us your tired, your poor, your well worn favorite sweaters...
Come spend an afternoon with me as I share simple techniques for mending and re-purposing your worn knitwear. Whether you choose to mend a wearable garment or create a new patchwork throw or pillow cover, we will go over a few ways to give new life to your old favorites. No prior sewing experience is necessary!
Please bring your own clean worn-out sweaters. Additional materials will be provided.
Zine Maker’s Workshop
Two-part workshop - January 10 and 24, 2026
Come make a zine!
What’s a zine?
Zines are a platform for joy, freedom, and creativity. Zines are self-published books/booklets, a form of outsider art — including but not limited to collage, visual art, photography, poetry, narrative writing, all of the above or something else entirely. Zines have also been used by activists to promote and disseminate dissident political information (including The Federalist Papers by Alexander Hamilton, women’s suffrage leaflets, The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx, etc.), as well as by artists and writers who use zines to distribute their work outside of the mainstream publishing world.

A Conversation with Sandy Weisman and Dudley Zopp
Sandy Weisman and Dudley Zopp get together for an evening of conversation about their shared passion for geology. They will have questions for each other and for you as well. Why are ancient rocks the teachers we need for our troubled times? How does geology inspire poetry, painting and printmaking? If you want to learn more about how the earth came into being, where should you go, and what’s the first book you should read?
